It has a switch to go to Ounces, just mine doesn't work.This is not a problem for me as I usually am just measuring the dog's food - 250 Grams is always 250 grams. She is a diabetic - she needs the same amount of food every 12 hours. I also use it for portion control for myself, and again only measuring in grams is not a problem. Packages usually give grams as well as ounces. In fact it is usually easier to do the math in grams: if 5 portions are in the package and it is 1500 grams total, then my portion is 300 grams. The scale has helped me learn portion control. This has it rewards. Now that I know what is exactly one portion, I can occasionally have one serving of cheesecake or chocolate covered raisins. The scale keeps me honest. The scale will hold a small bowl or a 10" dinner plate a-OK. When you place the empty plate on it, press "TARE" and the scale zeros out, then the... Read more |
